Life can be hectic and it's tough to find time to take care of you. Mental health affects your whole life. For true change to happen you have to look deep inside of yourself and heal the repetitive cycles that keep holding you back. The most effective way to do this is with 1:1 support and guidance from someone who has lived through this and knows the way. I really want to be there for those who want to bring about change . I am passionate about helping people live their lives to their fullest.
About Me...and Why I Started Coaching
So, WHY did I start coaching?
I have worked through SARS as a frontline nurse in 2003, and witnessed firsthand what the effects of the recent Covid pandemic and everyday life can do to our mental health. There has been an increase in depression, anxiety disorders and psychological distress. Mental illness/ wellness affects people of all cultures, ages, education and income levels.
I am passionate about empowering people to improve their mental and behavioural health, to coach them into fulfilment, connection and meaning utilizing their own unique strengths to gain confidence and clarity using a strength based CBT and DBT approach. The end result, leading to transformation for lasting change.
We are all distressed by events that are beyond our control on a daily basis, but we can still react constructively. A famous quote by Thomas S. Monson comes to mind here and keeps reminding me that "We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails. For maximum happiness, peace, and contentment, may we choose a positive attitude.”
So if you often feel weighed down by feelings of stress and anxiety and by circumstances that are beyond your control, come and talk to me and together we will work on strategies that will allow you to address the root cause of your difficulties.
One to one Life Coaching:
Each coaching session is typically between 45-60 minutes. Included are 1:1 face to face sessions remotely via Skype, Zoom, Messenger or if you prefer, over the phone. In between sessions I offer email and chat support. You may ask how many coaching sessions you will need. The answer is -as many or as few as you would like to help you through the issue or issues you are getting coached for. You can continue as long as you and your coach feel it is beneficial, and you feel comfortable being able to handle things going forward. There is no commitment. However, in order to reap the most benefit, the typical time most people feel is beneficial is between three months and a year, depending on the individual circumstances. Life coaching sessions are tailored to YOU. I believe that effective, high-quality coaching should be available to anyone seeking help to make positive life changes. I’m passionate about broadening the availability of my expertise, helping you to move forward.
My cost for each coaching session is $125. Discounts are available on pre-booking for the 3 month and 6 month plan. There is also a "Messaging & Email Only" option available. My practice is currently private pay which means I do not take insurance, however I do accept a variety of payment formats and options. The best way to know if a coach is right for you is to have a conversation.
